reunion dinner this year was not bad. we have the usual dishes that mom likes to cook on such occasions. pig intesting soup, abalone, chicken, duck etc.
Then everyone sit around talking about family stuff before waiting for midnight when there would be a round of angbao exchanges.
I would say that my loot this year wasn't too bad. But considering i gave a big angbao to my parents and brothers meant basically i still made a "loss".
Even though i am not married yet, i guess it is expect of one who has started to work to give parents angbaos as some token of appreciation. That said, younger siblings should also get one as some sort of encouragement or seen as showing a good example to the young. But i think it makes everyone happy in the end. And that's what matters. Guess the youngest bro is the luckiest this year with everyone else giving him angbao since he is still schooling. *chuckles*
